American Red Cross Classes
We provide a range of classes, including Lifeguard Training, Junior Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, First Aid, Lifeguard Instructor Training, and Lifeguard Recertification.
Lifeguard Training
The American Red Cross Lifeguarding course equips participants with the skills and knowledge to prevent, recognize, and respond to aquatic emergencies, as well as provide care until EMS arrives. Those who successfully complete the course will earn an American Red Cross certificate for Lifeguarding/First Aid/CPR/AED, which is valid for 2 years.
- Registration Requirements: Participants must pass swimming prerequisites (see below).
- Online Component: Must be completed before attending the in-person class. The online portion takes approximately 6-8 hours.
- Minimum Age: 15 years old.
- Class Schedule: Saturdays and Sundays, 7am-6pm.
Prerequisites:
- Swim 150 yards continuously, tread water for 2 minutes without using hands, and swim 50 yards continuously.
- Complete the timed “brick test” within 1 minute and 40 seconds.
Cost and Refund Policy:
- Cost: $300 per class.
- Full refunds are available with 30 days’ written notice.
- A 50% refund is available with less than 30 days’ written notice, or full credit can be transferred to another open class.
