Join Us for Parkinson’s Wellness Day!
A morning dedicated to helping support those who have Parkinson’s and the caregivers that support them.
From a Parkinson’s expo, featuring community partners, to exercise segments for those with active Parkinson’s Disease (PD) at all-levels and informative sessions, to snacks and time for rest and connection, attendees will find meaning and comfort.
Sheryl Lowenhar was diagnosed with Parkinson’s Disease in 2016. Her father had his own journey with PD which sparked her interest in the genetics of PD. In 2018, Sheryl founded 17 Branches, a 501c3 organization dedicated to raising money for Parkinson’s research and supporting community outreach and engagement.
17 Branches holds a Team Fox annual fundraising event called Box4Bucks. To date, it has raised over $350,000. Sheryl hosts a podcast called “The Parkinson’s Experience” that reaches around 1,000 listeners per episode. She invited to join the Michael J Fox Foundation’s patient council in 2022. Sheryl was honored to be asked to join the local organizing committee for the World Parkinson’s Congress (WPC) to be held in Phoenix in May 2026.
