Find Joy, Rhythm, and Connection in Your Parkinson’s Journey

Supportive, movement-based and community-centered programming designed for individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease.

Through somatic movement, rhythm, music, and meaningful peer connection, participants build confidence, reduce isolation, and support overall well-being

Our Programs

Monthly meetings are designed to provide individuals living with Parkinson’s Disease, along with their spouses and caregivers, an opportunity to connect in a welcoming and supportive environment.

These gatherings encourage meaningful social engagement, peer connection, and shared conversation among individuals who understand the unique experiences and challenges associated with PD. The meetings create a space where participants can build community, exchange experiences, offer encouragement, and hear from peers navigating similar journeys. By fostering connection and reducing social isolation, the program supports emotional well-being and a greater sense of belonging.

These signature Somatic Rhythms™ classes encourage freeing, expansive dance movements that promote deep mind-body awareness, authentic physical expression, and a sense of joy and relaxation.

In somatic dance, the focus is on what’s happening inside – in the body – rather than on performance and specific steps. Somatic dance & movements promote healing, restoration, and well-being. They have also been shown to reduce pain, anxiety, and stress – and to improve mood, sleep, flexibility, vitality, and fitness. The movements are enjoyable and, best of all, they feel wonderful! While somatic dance is therapeutic, it is not clinical therapy. It’s an expressive art form that offers many health and wellness benefits that are documented in the scholarly and medical literature. This class helps participants reconnect with their bodies, cultivating greater self-awareness through the expressive power of movement.

A joyful, grounding class where music, movement, and self-expression come together through percussion and rhythmic dance.

Participants explore a wide variety of global percussion instruments, including drums, shakers, tambourines, uli ulis, darbukas, frame drums, and steel tongue drums, while exploring dance and movements to the rhythms they create. This class enables dancers to feel the beat from the inside out, building awareness of how rhythm and vibrational energy flow through the body to support breath, balance, healing, and presence. This class blends simple guided movement and dance with group rhythm-making in a supportive, judgment-free space.

No musical or dance experience is needed. Just bring your curiosity and a desire to explore rhythms on a variety of enjoyable instruments. This class provides stress relief, development of rhythm and tempo, and an opportunity to move freely. Participants leave feeling energized, grounded and more connected to themselves and the world around them.

This program offers valuable insight for individuals living with Parkinson’s, care partners, and healthcare professionals seeking to better understand advanced treatment options and holistic strategies to optimize quality of care.

Presentations will be led by movement disorder neurologists, who will share their expertise on the latest approaches to Parkinson’s care, research and treatment options, symptom management, and strategies to support overall well-being and quality of life.
