The J offers a variety of enriching after-school activities guided by experts, including sports, cooking, mindfulness, drama, STEM, and art.
Our specialists are dedicated to helping kids discover new passions, develop valuable skills, and engage in meaningful experiences that foster personal growth and creativity.
Mindful Cooks: An Empowering Cooking Class for the Mind + Body
This class empowers children to feed the body and the mind through the joy of cooking! Each session blends mindfulness techniques with culinary art, fostering a positive mindset while teaching cooking skills. Participants will explore the connection between food, feelings, and focus, all through engaging, hands-on cooking experiences and creative art projects.

Young Rembrandts Art Class
Kids will build drawing skills and learn fun new art techniques in Young Rembrandts classes! Each week, they’ll create new artwork, learn art vocabulary, and discover the power of drawing. Students will also practice sequence drawing by creating pictures that tell a story with a beginning, middle, and end while improving facial expressions and composition skills.

Play Well: LEGO® Adventures
Let your imagination run wild with tens of thousands of LEGO® parts! Build engineer-designed projects and use special pieces to create your own unique designs! Projects are rotated seasonally to ensure that both new and returning students can explore the endless creative possibilities of the LEGO® building system.

Code Ninjas: Game Creators Club
Turn your ideas into playable games in our Game Creators Club! Students will use MakeCode and Scratch to learn the basics of coding and game design. Through fun, hands-on projects, they’ll create their own characters, levels, challenges, and games while building problem-solving and coding skills.
