All I can say is wow and thank you as our facility usage has really been incredible. In the pool, classes, pickleball, basketball, individual workouts and more, whether you have been with us for a while, or are new to The J, we can only say thank you! It is great to see everyone each day!!
Our first summer pool party of the season is May 17. With food, music, beverages, activities and more it will be the place to be. The fun is from 11am-1pm. RSVP here.
With camp getting ready to start on May 26, let’s talk a little about the parking lot. Please remember lots of people (including a ton of kids) walk in the lot. So:
- Please stay off your phones when driving in and out of the facility.
- The stop signs are there for a reason. So, please stop unless we are directing traffic and waving you through.
- If we are directing traffic, please adhere to what we are asking you to do. Our goal is to get you in and out of the lot as safely and efficiently as possible.
- When backing out of a parking spot, please use your mirrors to ensure the car next to you does not have doors open, people standing, etc.
- And please remember during camp the Sweetwater entrance/exit is closed from 8:30-9:30am weekdays.
Registration for next school year Club J afterschool program is open and going strong. With some incredible new enrichment classes, it will be different and better than ever. For information contact Dylan at dylana@valleyofthesunj.org.
Know someone who just might be interested in joining The J? Bring them and we will gladly provide them a guest pass to “try us out.” When (yes, being positive😊) they join and let us know that you referred them, you will receive a free month of membership. A true win-win!!
Our annual Gala is set for December 5 here at The J. The recipient of the Irv Shuman Award is Barry Markson. Erika Strempel will be presented with the Maya Schulder Young Leadership Award. With amazing honorees, great entertainment and lots of extras, it will be a great, great night. The event is chaired by Michelle and Bryan Kort, Jen and Steven Schwarz and Tiffani and Dan Bachus. A few reminders:
- Please remember if you are bringing an intown guest to The J, you must be with them. Out-of-town guests who will be here for a few days or more, please see a member of our membership team so we can provide them with a pass for the duration of their stay (waivers are required for all guests).
- Please wear appropriate workout attire when using the gym and this includes closed-toe footwear
- Remember when leaving via the Sweetwater exit it is left turn only
- Filming and photography in general use areas (fitness center, hallways, etc.) is not permitted
- And with the hot weather soon to come – hydrate, hydrate, hydrate.
